I don't know if I am a particularly fidgety person, but I have the toughest time keeping my hands still while I'm studying. I made a conscious effort tonight to avoid touching my face while I was reading about financial investing.
Also random, but for some reason, after I have posted, my blog doesn't seem to update and show the new post for at least 2 days. This is weird.

Spring Break
I ventured home for the past week to enjoy Spring Break. While many of my friends opted for exotic trips to Cancun or Puerto Vallarta, I felt going home would be a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the Academy. I spent pretty much the whole week relaxing-spending time with family and friends, watching movies, visiting the gym, and of course- eating to excess.
I will miss Oregon until the next time I am home, which is looking more and more like Thanksgiving. I am currently looking for a 3-day weekend between now and then that I might be able to fly home for a nice visit.

WTF?
I did my laundry yesterday, using Tide detergent. As I got back to my room and started to fold my laundry and put it away, I smelled a shirt as I put it away. It smelled like Chinese food. I then smelled a towel to see if it smelled the same. Yep. No Bueno!

Sean' Sheltered Life
Call it what you want, but attending the Air Force Academy sometimes makes me feel like I am five years old. Around a year ago, the Comm people (Communications Squadron) started a war on cadet's, blocking numerous legitimate websites. Here is just a partial list of the websites which the Academy feels are inappropriate for the Cadet Wing:
- myspace.com
- youtube.com
- break.com
- flickr.com
- postsecret.blogspot.com
- vimeo.com
- thesuperficial.com
- and a host of others

Suck!

Where have you been?
To all my loyal readers (Molly and my critic-Anonymous[see prior post comments]), I apologize for my period of absence. February was a busy month! To start the month off, I was part of the 50th annual Academy Assembly, which hosted more than 100 delegates from over 15 countries to discuss a relevant topic-dismantling terrorism. This program for which I am the CFO made NY Times headlines by inviting 3 ex-terrorists/reformed fundamentalist Christians to come talk to the delegates. To close out the week, Steve Emerson came to talk about radical Islam's role in terrorism today. He was blunt, truthful, and full of facts. Despite this, he still managed to piss off our entire Muslim population (15 kids). Despite these tense times, I enjoyed the week, including free $30 and $45 plate meals where I got to show off my new suit.
I turned the big 21 on February 17th, and celebrated at Old Chicago's, a wonderful pizza place, with several of my closest friends. I am not afraid to boast that I am a lightweight, and got quite a buzz after 5 drinks. I ended up having close to 9 on the night including some drinks with great names-kamikaze (picture), scooby snacks, four horsemen (yuck!), muff diver (hehe) , soco lime , Irish Car bomb, and a few more.
Unfortunately the excitedness of being 21 was short lived. Although I am 21, I am still a cadet, and thus have school work. I have had 6 tests, 4 quizzes, and 1 project due in the past two weeks, thus my absence from the blogging game. I am back though. 18 days until Spring Break, and in my opinion a well deserved break. Exciting plans anyone?
