This kid leans over to me in the middle of one of my classes the other day and asks "Hey, you got a knife" - pointing to a long string he is trying to cut away from his sock. At first, I was honored that he might consider me the type of person that might carry around a pocket knife, ya know, just for the heck of it. Even though I have never carried a knife, I replied, "not on me", like I have a whole collection back in my room.
Good news to report. On Tuesday, I finished my last super intense PE class for the rest of my time here at the Academy. Unarmed Combat 2, was the follow on the Unarmed Combat 1, which I took last semester. Now, I have PE classes like racquetball, Golf, and SCUBA to fill my physical fitness requirements. Tight.

F*** being sick
Every winter, in the January/February time frame I get a cold that won't go away. We're talking like two weeks and no sign of relief. I take a multivitamin, I take echinacea, I sleep a good amount on the weekends at least. Well, I'm in that sickness slump and trying desperately to get out of it. It doesn't help when you are outside constantly, the temperature is like 15 degrees, but then the wind is like f.u., thats not nearly cold enough so I'm going to blow ice particles into your face at like 50 miles per hour! Yea, thats probably keeping me hella sick.
In other news, I'm in the process of picking out my AFSC (Air Force Specialty Code), in other words, the job I will have for the next 4-5 years, at least. I'm pretty excited about the idea of actually having a job and not being in school...until I decide to get my MBA that is.

For A Good Life
I'm sure everyone wonders at some point what success in life means for them (besides having an A-list blog). I think this list does a pretty good job at summing up many of the things I find really important. What does success mean to you?

The Ugly Duckling Blog
Sometimes I wish I had the creative capacity (and time) to create funny anti-smoking campaigns, or find cool links on the in-ter-net. Unfortunately I spend my time with mundane tasks like aeronautical engineering and managerial accounting.
I don't think anyone wants a blog about the manometry equation or comptrollers. Right?

Fall Term

After missing my flight back to school and living without the internet for a day, I got some pleasant news. I had my best semester yet at USAFA. This is the my tally from fall semester.
