Organic Chemistry
"Friday just means that there are two working days until Monday"
-Dr. Bird
I studied for a good portion of both Saturday, Sunday, and Monday and today now that I think about it, and I'm no where close to being ready for my Organic Chemistry test tomorrow. Oh well. Back to work blogosphere.

Where's Preston?
p.s. I suppose a picture of Carmen San Diego could have been just as poignant, but I like Waldo better.

Snakes On A Plane!
In Physics today we were discussing the basics- displacement, velocity, acceleration and what not when my teacher asked us to figure out how long it would take a plane to stop on a runway going a certain speed.
He then began to discuss accidents that have occurred in past years where planes had a tough time landing i.e. Jet Blue plane with broken landing gear, or Air Force C-5 where the nose portion came off upon landing.
Next he asked the class for an example. "Can anyone think of another emergency situation that would cause a plane trouble while landing?"
My reply was simple. "Sir, there could be snakes on the plane".
Pwned!

I'm Pissed
Today I went in to schedule a dental appointment only to find out a startling fact that may just cause me to cease my service in the military. I'm only allowed to have my teeth cleaned once a year. Screw that. I don't care what The Man feels is necessary, I need my teeth cleaned every six months. There is nothing that bothers me more than poor oral hygiene, except maybe people not updating their blogs.

Tiger Woods is Great
In between studying for physics and working out today, I caught Tiger Woods winning his 12th major championships at Medina Country Club. It goes without saying that he dominated the competition, winning by 5 strokes. It wasn't even close. Watching today I noticed something that Tiger has that others do not: 100% pure confidence. Whether he was hitting drives or putts he knew it was going to be a great shot. I don't know about you, but I almost have to root for Tiger when I see him on TV because of that fact. He is 100% kick ass. And his wife is hot.

The Brick Wall That Is School
I'm only 4 days into the new school year and I'm hitting a brick wall. It could be that I'm not ready for summer to end. It could be that these classes are too hard for me to not spend all my time studying. It could be that I'm really meant to be spending my time scouring the beaches of the world in search of the perfect wave. I can't focus right now for more than 30 minutes, which is not a good thing as I sit here staring at several chapters of reading each for history and psychology, calculus homework, and chemistry. Hopefully I will get back into the groove of things soon, approaching school with fire and tenacity. Hopefully...

I have two things for you....
1) Why is David Hassellhoff host of a TV show called "Americas Got Talent"? The only two things he is good at is running in slow motion and being the antichrist.
2) Also, school starts tomorrow. Cheers mates. Wish me luck in 18.5 credit hours worth of classes including such favorites as Organic Chemistry, Calculus 3, and Physics 110.

People Hate Oregonians
Not until an empty tank landed me in
You see I was driving a van filled with 8 people from all corners of the
They asked questions that were easy to answer, but for some reason they were still miffed. Do you tip? No. How do they know what to give you? You tell them.
I would like to hope that said criticism was more due to a lack of understanding rather than prejudice, but IÂm just not sure.

Why are we virgins?
After hanging out with a different group of people this past 3 weeks in Texas, I'm starting to feel like being a "virgin" puts me in the minority. People seem to be endlessly looking for either some random hook up or they get into a short term relationship which revolves solely around sex. I'm proud to be a virgin, and can't help but wonder why more people don't choose the same. Donnie and Dustin are both proud of their V-cards, so I ask them (and others reading) why are you a virgin? What exactly are you waiting for?

I'm a sir?
Basic Cadet Training is winding down and I'm back here at the Academy. It's a weird combination. I decided to go to the post office today and some Basic Cadets were trying to figure out how to open the boxes. I asked if they needed help and they jumped to attention and said "Yes Sir". I couldn't help but laugh. First off, because they were so serious and nervous like I cared that they were formally addressing me. Next, it was funny to realize that a year ago, I was in that same position. Crazy.

Call me David Blaine, because that right there is magic.
